Strategic Human Resource Management
Strategic Human Resrource Management is about ensuring that the organisation has the right mix and number of people to achieve thier business purpose whilst delivering a quality product. Central to this proposition is that the right mix and number of people have the core capabilities to deliver the organisation's products and services.

As new products and services are developed, staff may need development opportunities to deliver on these goods, or the organisation may need to "buy-in" external expertise for a time until internal staff are trained.

The increasing use of technology is changing the way we do business. Staff need to keep up-to-date and maintain the currency of their skills to keep their career progressing in the right direction.

Talent Management is important when there are a number of highly engaged and motivated staff whom the organisaiton wishes to retain lomg-term. These are the people who have a place in the organisation's future as likely successors to key roles. Ensuring that these employees continue to be passionate about what they do, and continue to contribute, is paramount to the success of the Strategic Management Plan.

Interventions that can be delivered by Inspirational Leadership include:

  • Business Modelling of Staffing Requirements
  • Recruitment of key staff to functional and line management positions
  • Workshops to develop core competencies

"Leadership is a potent combination of strategy and character.
But if you must be without one, be without the strategy."
Norman Schwarzkopf, 1934 -
